Errant officers using a Taser inside a single individual's bedroom Jan 4, 2010 We as a family have filed in the Court of Appeal of BC with regard to Statement of Claim in SCBC that Justice Parett ruled on Sept. 1, 2009, if appealed, the Defendant, (Saanich Police) would have to pay costs for transcripts and documents for the purpose of hearing to be conducted by tribunal in Court of Appeal. The case pertains to Torture, contrary to Section 269.1 of the Criminal Code, falsely alleged to be an arrest under the BC Mental Health Act, by errant officers using a Taser inside a single individual's bedroom, against a lone occupant who was completely surprised and unwarned, nor warranted, and not presenting any threat nor symptoms of illness. The victim had seen a medical doctor the day before this incident and knew he had no need to go to a hospital. Four constables involved evidently trespassed without authorization, in response to errant allegations and directions radioed to them by a 911 dispatcher or paramedics. Please advise if you can help us, as we have already extended donations toward this civil litigation, beyond our means. We seek a lawyer competent to assist us in the BC Court of Appeal, because the circumstances surrounding the hearing in SCBC action, were plagued by duress, due to withdrawal for personal reasons of our solicitor. We therefore acted as self-represented litigants, successfully registering the Notice of Appeal. We would also encourage your organization to encourage members and concerned citizens to mail or voice complaints to the College of Physicians and Surgeons. Alison Beil, B.Ed., C.C.
